I am hoping to share my "Zimbabwe Zingers". A mixed drink I invented by neccesity when struck with a case of Jet Flight induced insomnia right before I was supposed to go hunting the next day in NW Zim a few years back. Amarula and Pendleton Bourbon on ice. Quite wonderful according to those here with whom I have shared the beverage.
Adding more stuff to my "Can part with" Pile for sale this weekend and after. Make it now an 85% chance I will be there, all dependant upon sales and cash on hand in a few days. I am more excited Especially if Karnis does in fact come as I want to hunt with the rifle he re stocked for me and show it off while he is there to recieve the much warranted accolades.

Thanks to Rick, again this year, for the sticky concerning the 2013 24HourCampfire Hot hunt.
If there was no Rick, there would be no 24HCF, no Hog hunt, and we would all be diminished.
We owe him a lot more than we could ever repay.

UPDATE ON THE COST OF A SECOND HOG
Just finished talking to Alan, the owner at Wilderness. I asked him what the cost would be for a second hog. Here it is:
For any cull hogs(spotted ones, small ones) the cost will be $450.
For big boars, the cost is $550.
The definition of one hog verses another is not quite clear. I figure we can get more definition of each category when we get there.

COST:
$650 for hunters(last year it was $675) and $ 250 for non-hunters.

DEPOSITS:
Deposits of $250 are required. Those who were previously at Wilderness and/or Caryonah, and their relatives, will be given first chance for 2013. The reason for this is to encourage Fire members to build on the tradition of our Boar Hunt. Deposits for this group must be received at Wilderness by 12 January.
Steve, Will this work like last year? Deposit upfront, remainder if/when you shoot (so you have a choice on if you decide to shoot)....or is this a you can only be a shooter or a non-hunter? Thanks, Jay
