Brenneke is bringing out a 28ga slug for 2011. This is the first factory loaded 28ga slug in a L-O-N-G time. Gualandi listed them in the '80s but I never saw any and Remington did offer them before that ('60s?). Can't think of any current 28ga guns that would be optimum for slugging but might be interesting to install iron sights on a round barrel gun or possibly trying adjustable "turkey" type sights on a ribbed barrel.

Here in Illinois you cannot deer hunt with anything smaller than 20ga

The lion and tiger might be stronger, but the wolf does not perform in the circus.

No offense,

But, luckily, that is not the case in other areas. It sure beats the .410 slugs some like to shoot. It would be like a .54 cal muzzleloader up close. Nothing wrong with that!

Can't use anything smaller than a 20ga.slug here in Kansas either. Thats for deer. Not to say they wouldn't be useful for alot of other things.

20 ga min in NY for deer and bear.....

But I have a 28ga barrel with adjustable rifle sights and love to mess around with these. Sure hope they come on the American market(at a hopefully reasonable price, like anything 28 is reasonable.LOL).

They would be legal here in TN for deer, and I am going to pick up all I can afford. You never know how long they will make these. I do like my little 28!
