Like the NRA, or not. They are the best and biggest thing standing between the 2nd Amendment and a over-reaching govornment who would like to ban all private ownership of firearms. I have been a member my entire adult life, and I believe it has been money well spent. I am writing this post to urge all of you who aren't members, to put aside your petty differences with the NRA,and join. If you already are a member, urge a friend or family member to join, or give a gift of membership to someone for Christmas. I have gifted three memberships already this year. The govornment will sit up and take notice if the ranks of the NRA double or triple in the coming weeks. Like it or not, thats how Washington works, money talks,bulls***, walks.

I agree with you. I have been an NRA member for about 40 years. Every gun owner should be a NRA member.

My two kids wanted memberships for XMas(they are 14 and 11) and I signed up a friend for Xmas as well. If half of gun owners were members we wouldn't be worried about a thing now.

Long Live the NRA !! Interesting story on the news the other day about the millions of $$ that the NRA has for Lobbying, but the Brady antis only had a few tens of thousands. Seems that liberal antigunners never want to "Pony Up" their own $$$ to support their stand (But they damn sure want to take away your rights !!)

Long Live the NRA !! Seems that liberal antigunners never want to "Pony Up" their own $$$ to support their stand (But they damn sure want to take away your rights !!) Except Bloomberg who is going to more than make up for the rest of them. He has pledged to spend much of his fortune working against the 2nd. The NRA is going to need every member and donation it can get. I went Life last year, then took advantage of the special deal and got my son a Life membership as well.

Why people can't figure out that an attack on one Amendment is an attack on them all just baffles me.
Guessing the forefathers didn't anticipate computers and satellite tv when the 1st came along, but I'm not about to change it.

I joined and have sent my FIL a membership. Once you join the NRA you should think hard about the SAF. They are the guys fighting and winning in the courts for all of us. There may not have been a Heller decision without the SAF.
