I would like some help identifying a used McMillan that I purchased to help me in ordering another stock. I was told it is a Mountain Rifle Stock, but it is not. It is the middle stock in the photos below. It does not have a cheek piece, and seems to be the same length as the Mountain Rifle Stock (bottom). It appears to have Edge fill based on weight. The grip is along the same lines as the classic, and more open than the Mountain Rifle. It has a different checkering pattern than the classic (Top) or the Mountain Rifle, so I am hoping that will help identify it. Thanks

Thanks Joel, you are probably right. That was my original guess too, but I was convinced that a hunter's edge would have a significantly shorter forend than the Mountain Rifle pattern. Anyone have both that can confirm? Thanks

Hunter's edge by the pistol grip and checkering pattern. Mine measures 11 1/8" from center of front action screw hole to tip. Quite a nice string of Rem Ti's.

Thanks Grand. Same measurement on the stock in question is 10 1/4", and the Mountain rifle is 10 3/4". From all of the internet banter on barrel length and McMillan selection, I was anticipating a much bigger difference in the forend length for these models. You learn something every day.

Based on what other have already said, I'd have to agree, the middle stock is the Hunters Edge, top one looks like a Classic and the bottom is a Mtn Rifle. Good picture of the three for a reference.
