All they have is a new, CHEAP rifle, to compete with the Savage Axis and the Ruger American. It has an accutrigger knock off and everything...jeeeez. I asked the rep what was new, he said the 1100 shotgun's aniversary is coming up...BFD.

It takes a real innovative company to make a 1911 crazy

Maybe Cerberus will find a proactive buyer for the company and we'll have better offerings in 2014.

At least the 783 doesn't look as abs as the 710 or 770, of course that is not saying much

I guess when you got the 870 and 700 to lean on, you don't need much else.

It's a shame the competition is blowing Big Green away. It's nothing new though been that way for a good while. I've gotten to the point where I don't care to have anything new that Remington has to offer. I'd sooner buy an older Remington rifle or shotgun made back when quality was better and everything didn't look like a plastic piece of junk.

The story goes that a Ruger employee found some empty .44 Magnum cases that had been accidentally thrown out by a Remington employee during that chambering's super secret development, so Bill Ruger was able to score a marketing coup by introducing the Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum almost at the same time S&W offered theirs.

Remington has finally turned the tables on Ruger, since a Remington employee obviously found a Ruger American stock that had been accidentally thrown out, thus enabling Remington to copy it almost exactly and get the drop on Ruger, albeit a year or so late...

I'm thinking about what Remington's I have. I 521 T that was my first gun bought for me by my Dad. It won't be going anywhere. Also a 03-A3 I got from the CMP. Can't really think of anything else from Remington that I want

I have yet to own a centerfire Remington rifle. I do have rem 870 1187 and a few 22's like the 121 pump. I have alway's used the model 70's and have had good luck. What I have does just fine for me. I don't know what the rifle makers are thinking but I clearly see that quality is not one of there concerns. I look at this new stuff and all I see is a junk. Do these cheap guns sell like hotcakes or what? I would like to see how many of these hunks of [bleep] are really sold. I just wish these gun makers would go back to quality guns or I will continue buying used guns that are made back in the day. none of the new garbage for me!
