Colt Light Rifle(CLR) .30-06 - includes scope base/ring combos(I believe they are Talleys). Very Good Condition overall. Stock has some light scratches on the butt section. Accuracy? What loads does it favor?

Seems to be a solid 1.5" gun with Winchester PP 180 gr., but every load I've tried has at least been under 2". I believe with a little trigger work it would do much better. The trigger is light but has a "mushy" feel to it.

This would make for a great donor for a CLR/NULA rifle for Melvin Forbes to work his magic.

I had Melvin convert a CLR .270 into a 7x57 and it has become my go to rifle.

You should really consider this.

Like donsm70 said, this would make a great donor for a NULA upgrade. I actually bought the rifle with plans to do just that, but I've too much other stuff on my plate at the moment.

Somebody, take this off my hands before I break down and send it to Melvin myself!!
