You still drivin that jet with wheels? As long as I'm not going by the farm on the way home. Better mileage and more comfortable than the truck for 10 hours on the road.

Hell yeah Steelie, I've only shot a WT doe with my takedown-G in 300 Savage, dug a beautiful mushroomed bullet out of a pine tree after if went through her.

I have a 99EG in the caliber, factory D&T. Pretty nice shape though the stock is not original, and needs some attention as it's thinking of cracking at the tang. I don't mind one that needs some work but very interested in a takedown and if this is forgive me, just getting interested in the 99's. No problem, the EG's are solid frame. Oh, and if any of the folks showing up happen to have a Savage 99F or G takedown in .300 Savage they are looking to part with I'm interested. Would an 1899H takedown Carbine in 22 High Power, excellent condition with wonderful blue and wood finish still, with ammo, dies, brass and about 600 .227 70gr bullets and a Redfield peep sight, folding barrel sight as well, be of interest to you? Hmmm, this may be a more expensive trip than I thought. I have no such need for a rifle but I have to admit I am intrigued. I still want a .300 Savage takedown though. Blame Hatari as I handled his .250-3000 in Texas. OK, you confessed. Missed it earlier. Nice set up, eh?
