I bought out some parts and accessories from an old Gunsmith Shop about 15yrs ago; Among them was the following Mauser bolt assembly. Does anyone know what model and caliber it may be? Or if anyone could offer any insights into how i could narrow down what it is myself i would greatly appreciate it? (sorry the pictures aren't the best)
As near as I can tell, it looks like a standard M-93/95/96 bolt. Because of the shape of the bolt handle, I'm thinking perhaps a commercial version of the M-38 Swede... They were made in commercial sporting rifles in 6.5x55, 9.3x57, 8x57, and likely others... At any rate, it would likely have the standard .473" bolt face. HTH - GH

Hi,my puter is loading these too slow. If you cant get help here shortly I suggest you go to Mauser central there are a lot of Mauser pros there. Craig
Grasshopper is right; it is a 93/94/95/96/38 bolt that is missing the extractor and extractor collar. It comes from either a 7x57mm Spanish or a 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser. If I had to bet money, I'd say it was from a Swedish Model 38 or Model 94 Mauser because they had bent bolt handles.

That's a Swedish bolt body (guide rib present, 3rd lug missing). The safety lever looks Swedish (knurled), but that's not the regular military Swede cocking piece (vertical thumbpiece missing).
