I have read some good reviews about good looking results from Novum's Blue Wonder bluing system for home use; but what I haven't heard yet is whether it helps to protect against rust. Does anyone have any information about that?

I tried the Blue Wonder without luck. It turned out streaky. However I didn't use their metal cleaner stuff and I heated it with a hairdryer. Maybe using their cleaner and a heat gun or propane would've made the difference.

I used it once and it did not work for me but I tend to screw things up.
If I need something reblued or touched up I take it to a gunsmith.
