These are made from D2 steel, Hollow ground with a swedge. The scales are made from Stabilized Spalted Hackberry. I am quite happy with the way this wood is working out. Searched for nice wood for 40 years and found out there is trainloads of it right here.

I hollow ground my blades for a lot of years. Sort of moved away from it after starting to flat grind. I plan to try to offer a lot of my patterns with this grind.

It looks good David. I like the swedges and the hollow grind. The scales look good too.
