Picked up a box of 110gn ttsx's at the gunshop the otherday. Have no idea where to start powder wise. I figure dropping way down with imr4350 and working up is my best bet, but wanted to know if anybody loads for these light bullets. I also have IMR-3031,4320, 4831sc and tac and xverminator on hand.

Not 30-06, but I used the 110gr TTSX in my model 99 .300 Savage this past deer season. Very pleased both with accuracy and performance. Killed 2 nice bucks, one DRT at app 40 yds and the other shot at app 150 yds ran about 15 yds and dropped. Using H4895 as recommended both here and by Tye at Barnes. Very low recoil, a pleasure to shoot. Scott

I would try the 3031:

Code
Cartridge : .30-06 Spring. (SAAMI)
Bullet : .308, 110, Barnes TTSX 30871
Useable Case Capaci: 64.358 grain H2O = 4.179 cm
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.340 inch = 84.84 mm
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch = 609.6 mm
Powder : IMR 3031

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 0.901% of nominal charge.
CAUTION: Figures exceed maximum and minimum recommended loads !

You didn't use logic or reason to get into this opinion, I cannot use logic or reason to get you out of it.

I used 60.0 varget in a couple 06s to get right near 3500 fps. Both shot well under an inch.
If you email Barnes they'll send you data and it isn't whimpy....apparently the grooves on that little 110 really reduce pressure. We use 110 vmaxes for practice...they hit identical velocity...are also extremely accurate...and have like bc's.
Buddy shot a small buck with his gun this fall. Deer was moving and bullet went through both shoulders absolutely destroying them and unfortunately the meat around em. He made a note to avoid that next yr.

Surely there must be a manual available to help get you in the ballpark. Or a call to Barnes?

59.5 grains of 4320 rem brass, cci lrm primer = 5 shot group of .735. I'm quite happy with that load, especially since the wind was gusting at times.
