Odd, I knew a guy in Texas who did that once. He was the same guy who got drunk, and then started raiding his collection of exotic hot sauces as he was making dinner. He had one I recall, named "Inner Beauty" made from Scottish bonnets. All the next day, he and his buddy - the only two drunk enough to eat what was cooked - were the most miserable people I've ever seen. Seems they were dealing with Inner Volcanoes most of the day, and were hung over, to boot.

Great pics,Bobby,especially the one of Dan and Pat. Good thing the first pic is blurry. It looks like the gent in the middle is pulling back a draw from some big-assed bong.

hmmmm.....informed my wife of my plan to take the train out to Mark and then drive all the way to Tenn.....hunt and then drive all the way back to Washington, get back on the train and come home.... she informed me that i was "[bleep] nuts"

I have a question rattler, how far is the drive from Washington to SE Tenn.? according to Mapquest: 32.5 hours/2183 miles.....thats from Walla Walla to Nashville.....

lol back in August, in a 10 day period i went from here to Colorado Springs and back(11 hours one way) and here to Lincoln Nebraska and back(14 hours one way) and im guessing Mark will take a bigger share of driving than my wife did during those trips....

18 (give or take) from my house to the Lodge. I'll give you an exact time this year when I don't around the mountain and through those logging roads to get there!
4 from my house to Jim's door and 14 from there down. I wouldn't miss the drive for anything!

Too far to drive! Holy crap Now now Dan, there's two of em, 3 hours shifts straight to Tenn. Not bad. And they get to see the USofA too boot. I took several trips to pick up cars just like that. And this does make me sick cause I'm not going to make this trip, wanted to for only the last 5 years. Very good group to be around. My money went to the state of Tex. Great It did, but really, if the desire to go was really in me, I'd be there. Good cigar, corn liq. can't be beat.

That was just one leg from JFK to Joberg...had to fly to JFK and then Joberg to Cape Town....was a long 2 days

actually i dont mind driving, especially during the daytime and i can see new country......on this trip the only chunk i will have done before is some of the stuff through Nebraska....though ill be crossing through where i drive down through to get to Colorado in Wyoming......
mainly im getting crippled up alot faster than i ever thought i would and this seems like a hell of an adventure to take that actually isnt gonna leave me out that much money, the big thing is the time and it turns out i could make that work where a year ago i couldnt.....the wife is happy im getting out of the house and doing something, she would like to come with but there is no way she can miss two publication days, especially if im not in the office....
