I'm still here. Happy New Year. Life been getting in the way along with 3 months of hunting. Don't post much but read here often as I can. Did manage two does with my 99E in 308 this past season. GrizzlyClaus.

I'm still here enjoying the campfire after all these years. I might have one of the lowest posts-per-year averages on the site, but I still enjoy visiting on a regular basis. I'm still accumulating Savage 1899 rifles and carbines with a focus on the special orders. Happy New Year everyone. Chris

Had to re-register with a new name because my older computer crashed and I didn't have the password. Tried to get a new password but that didn't work.
Still have the 99EG .308W and the 99EG .300 Sav. built during WWII.

I have yet to kill a creature with a Savage model 99, but am the proud owner of a gorgeous proffesionally refinished and upgraded wood and blueing model 99 in 250/3000 and traded my way into a Gloss Leopold 2.5-8x36 scope for it and a model 1899H Takedown Carbine in 22 Savage Hi Power and have now aquired a goodly pile of brass and bullets and ammo and a set of dies. Also have a Redfield tang peep sight that is going on it this weekend.
If I get my hands on a shooter grade 99C in 308 someday it will become a detatchable magazine model 99 in 358WIN.
