I have the opportunity to purchase an original 22HP, serial # 279040, in average condition. Any idea what I should pay for it? If the barrel is worn out, what calibres can I rebarrel it to?

John no will have a better idea on price as he lived in NZ for a while and is in Aus now .
30-30, 303 savage ,25-35, are the eazist ,250-3000 .

clean the barrel first and try it out ,227 cal but some shoot 224.

Mate I picked a very good condition 22 h.p over there a couple of years back for $500.00, mint bore. A 303sav in a 99A, made 1909 also in top condition from a dealer for $450.00

If you don't anything about the 99s get someone who does to check it over, as Norm said, get some boretech or other good solvent into it
