coming from a guy whose House district is a cesspool of every kind of crime, depravity, and vice, who was reelected on the votes of his welfare collecting constituents for decades without ever doing anything that helped get them off the dole, it is sickening to hear him talking about having to do something about the culture of self reliance in the bad old south.

The progressives need to understand that America is just plain different; we�re not Europe. The most conservative, independent, and entrepreneurially minded people of Europe left there to make something of themselves here. America will always be more conservative than Europe. And where firearms are concerned, they are deeply ingrained in our history and culture. While other countries have spent the past 400 years trying to disarm their subjects, I mean citizens, America has been arming our citizens. To the point to where there may be a gun for every living man, woman, and child in the US.
The ban talk is fruitless and a waste of everyone�s time. It would be much more productive if they tried to figure out how to live with guns, rather than try to ban guns. The only thing they�re going to accomplish with gun bans is to tear this nation apart.
