Does anyone have one of these 16" w/midlength handguard?
I am considering having one built. Anybody with experience with RRA AR15's?

Good or bad let me know.

Have many RRA parts and no whole guns currently. Usually good enough parts. Their CMP uppers I put together on my own to tweak them and then sell them to starting comp shooters. Have yet to see one not shoot under moa at 200.

From what I hear, finding one could be tough as they are supposed to be way backlogged with the DEA or whatever huge order.

I did see an AR at a IDPA match once like you describe, dont' know the make but it was horribly loud!! Though I dont' recall about a brake or not...

You wont' go wrong with RRA IMHO. There are supposed to be betters out there, I'm not privy to have used them. Let E4E chime in too.

RRA is solid.

Rifles and components both.

They are swamped right now, and still try to take care of thier smaller customers.

As long as they keep holding onto thier high standards, RRA will be a good choice.

I have the CAR A4 with the mid length aluminum free floated hand guard, weaver gas block and stainless barrel. puts 10 shots into an inch at 100 yards with the Hornady 50 grain V-max. I have a quick detachable scope mount and go back and forth with an Eotech and scope. It's really becoming my favorite toy

I have an Elite Car A4, I belive the designation is, flat top upper with dominator rear sight, midlength handguards and 6 position collapsible. Very nice rifle and scary accurate. I think in reality the midlength handguards make the sight radius a little longer and this helps some when shooting iron sights. I ordered them more for the aesthetics. I just liked they way they looked. Zero malfunctions, and zero problems of any kind. RRA sells a very good product.

Bought my 16" M4ergery 2-1/2 yrs ago and topped it with a 2x compact ACOG that has the amber colored triangle reticle. My goal was MK 262 (NATO spec) speed with either 75 or 77 gr match bullets. Since speed was more important to me, I passed up several sub MOA loads and settled on a stout load using LC 1991 through 2002 1x fired brass, H4895, old nickel plated WSR primers and the Hornady 75 Match bullet. Reached 2750 fps and am putting 10 shots into 10" at 600 yds consistently. Never a malf using new Colt 30 rd mags.

Last June 15th I helped my dentist obtain his 24" RRA heavy stainless varmit rig with flat top upper. Cannot remember his scopee but he is nearly consistent at hitting bowling pins at 1000 yds with it. He found out ammo quality is everything when doing this.

Needless to say RRA is a rockin piece! It took us about 8 weeks to get his rifle.

I bought the RRA entry tactical and put a nikon buckmasters 3x9 scope on it.I also can change back to irons in 2 mins.
