i'm not so sure i buy into the 10,000 number, but i think we have plenty of evidence that the colleges and universities are breeding plenty of communists, marxists, and socialists. when are own president refers to "collective action" it's not hard to see that the doctrine of the radicals is firmly entrenched in our gov't and elites of the country.

The notion of hordes of card-carrying communist professors plotting to destroy America is what I'm calling horseshit. And it is.

Colleges are, by demographic and intent, a place where young, bright people are exposed to the cumulative knowledge of the world. They are not, nor should they be, dogmatically this way or that way politically. I knew people of all stripes in college. I knew professors of all stripes with one exception. Never one time did I ever have a professor so much as hint at pushing communism. Much less whip out his [bleep] card.

Marxism is not part of the cumulative knowledge of the world but is rather a failing of human nature and a manifestation of the basest instincts of the human race which has resulted in unspeakable horrors. And yes, it was pushed on me at the two Universities I attended.

To deny that indoctrination doesn't happen exposes you as either a liar who has never studied at an institution of higher learning or, even worse, as one who has and chooses to lie about the experience because you agree with the Marxian thought that has infected our colleges and universities.

I can laugh at the nuttiness of the Right just as easily as that of the Left. In fact, the similarities in rhetoric, demonization of leaders, exaggerations, distortions, and outright fabrications, are about equally distributed.

So you think there's 10,000 card-carrying communist professors plotting to destroy America, or is that hyperbole?
