Hi, I'm new to the campfire and just started to get into the rifle. Been a bow hunter for quite a while, but since moving to the country have bought a couple of rifles to keep the coyotes honest. I know that Savage and Sako make L.H bolts, but who else makes rifles for lefties. Thanks.

Completest list I know of is here.

OBTW, RRA has announced a LH AR15, waiting list is only a year or two.

That list is slightly outdated and certainly not all inclusive but covers the majority of them

The catalog lists MSRP for LH SS barrel / ChroMo action 24B @ $1552.00.

Who knows what street price will be?

I have to say that the Forbes rifle has me more excited than any new rifle in quite some time. I had always hoped that the Kimber montana would be made in left hand but now that Forbes will have them for us Lefties, I could care less about the Kimber. Depending on street price I would like to get an all stainless LH 280 when they are available.

I'd still love a Montana myself. The weight seems just perfect for a nice .270.

Me too. A good buddy has a 84L in 'o6 and it is a dandy rifle. Especially for a factory rig, truthfully, they're hard to beat for the money.

It'll likely never happen though, and these Forbes rifles do look promising.

It's been mentioned before that they have the programming all done to produce left hand models, but they just haven't moved on it. I emailed them some time back and they said then that at that point, there were no plans to produce the model 84s in left-hand configuration. Now, bear in mind this was before I found out they were in a position to do so at any stage, so maybe it is something that gets discussed occasionally, and we can hope to see it down the line, but yes indeed, I would most definitely shell out for a lefty 84L in .270 if such a thing ever appeared on my radar. Hell, I'd probably swim the Atlantic for it too. :p

I'm with DaveIRL, well maybe not about swimming the Atlantic, but sign me up for a LH 84L! I'll never forget when Kimber came out with the 84L I saw a gun magazine on the rack at the local grocery store and when I saw the "L" I assumed L = left. I was so disappointed when I realized my mistake.

I would happily start with an 84L in .270 and then start saving for an 8400 in .300 WM. Who am I kidding, I would buy pretty much the first lefty they offer and go from there. I looked long and hard at a right hand .270 WSM that stayed here in a local shop for some time, but decided to wait on the folks at Kimber to make me one with the bolt handle on the correct side. I sure wish they would do it already!
