You're late!....... But since I'm typing a .284" 120gr Accubond would have made more sense!!

unless im trying to make a reduced load for lighter recoil or using these on something smaller than a 308, i would prefer the 130 ttsx at warp speed over the 125 abond...BC's are comparable but i have a feeling the 130 ttsx will do better when launched over 3000

Tell them. They listen fellas. I'd tell them to figure out how to get regular 150 gr. Ballistic Tips down to $25 per hundred since they have nearly zero chance of up selling me to the bonded or monometal stuff.

We killed a lot of deer with the std 125g Ballistic tips, accubond will be even better. In a 308 with a 24" barrel, they will shoot very tiny groups at 3100-3200 fps with Win 748.

If they shoot as well as the 125 BT's at 3200 I will use them and look forward to seeing my 12-year old kill all kinds of critters with them!
Good Shooting!

The NAB can easily handle an impact velocity of 3300fps. I have seen that in the .257 bee.

I have seen that in the .257 bee. i just think at that speed it will shed at least 40% of its weight while the TTSX will shed approx 1-5% and out penetrate the AB...whether thats "needed" is up to the shooter but for big game i'd prefer it in a lighter bullet traveling fast....just me, i might be wrong

You need to recover a bullet to weigh it. Have not been able to do so.
And even if you do, why does weight retention even matter? I am guessing here, but you can only recover bullets from dead critters, trees or dirt.

And even if you do, why does weight retention even matter? I am guessing here, but you can only recover bullets from dead critters, trees or dirt. as a projectile loses weight, it loses momentum, which means less penetration. If I'm shooting a 300 pound hog, I would prefer the weight retention

I think partition fans may take issue.

I have a reduced recoil load for my son using the 125 gr. NBT at about 2600 ft/sec MV.
At this velocity range does the AB offer a significant advantage?
At what point would an AB be more appropriate for deer sized critters out to 250 yards?

Sounds like the perfect bullet for those with a 7.62x39 and a .308 bore.

I think partition fans may take issue. well a partition has a partition so the weight loss stops at some point. I think a 150 ttsx will out penetrate a 150 partition give the same impact speed

Yep, weight loss will always stop at some point. On any bullet.
