Very, very nice. I like the straight tubes as well. Maybe I will go 1.5-5...

I have a Leupold 1.5-5 with heavy duplex and it is just the thing for a carbine. Mine is on a BAR right now but for a long time it was on a full stock Sako in 30-06 where it was perfect for the job.

Full stock carbines do look right with a straight tube objective scope.

The 1.5-5 was intended for a .375Sako mannlicher carbine I picked up while dreaming of africa. Never mounted on that rifle but might have to give it a try.

As usual, I carefully weighed everyone's input and did the exact opposite. I decided that I wanted to put the scope on my 1885 instead, so I went with a 3-9x40mm VX-2 with a German #4. I couldn't just let a rifle like that languish without a scope...

You can never go wrong with a straight 6x or 4x M8 Leupold.

(1) VX-3 1.75-6x 32mm (Standard Duplex)

(2) VX-2 2-7x 33mm (Standard Duplex, but with the CDS dial included)

This is a general purpose whitetail rifle, but might see action on hogs and bigger game in the future. I had it originally set up as a <150 yard rifle, but thought a bit more magnification would be beneficial.

Either will work I'd skip the CDS....150 yards they are not even nice to have... IMHO
