Just wondering what other leftys like in the way of non lefty firearms.
One of the most obvious would be the old Win. Model 94 top eject no cross bolt pretty ambidextrous. Personally I also like the Ithaca 37, and have both.
Just courious what others like.

Any of the falling block or break action single shots, or doubles.

Remington 760 and 7600 if you grew up shooting a pump shotgun they seem natural to a lefty.

I have a couple of Winchester Model 88s (.243 and .308) with the safeties reversed so they are lefty friendly. I would think the tang safety Savage 99s would be ambidextrous too.

I have two Benelli shotguns, a SBE & a 20ga Montefeltro and they are a piece of cake for me. Both safeties have been switched and I flying hulls have never been a problem. Quick reloads are a snap because the left hand never comes off the wrist of the gun. Keep ammo in the right side of my vest aand fill 'er up.
My Ithaca shotguns also are a breeze with their swapped safeties.

i played cops and robbers for 35 years. i have had to use right handed 870's, right handed ar's and have been shooting 1911's with the proper safety so long i don't believe there is enough time left in my life to re learn the efficient operation of the left handed counterparts. the first deer rifle i actually owned was a lh remington 700 so i never warmed up to right handed bolt guns and i have always been hunting with break open shotguns so hand specific operation was never an issue.

Im with KK and TXpitdog...I have owned several 7600's over the years and many lever actions....never have owned a Ruger No.1 though I would like to someday.
I also love Winchester pump shotguns and have several. I also find Ruger 10/22's to be fairly ambidextrous as well as my Marlin M60.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

My first gun was a H&R Topper 20ga, 35+ years ago. She still gets slung over my sholder quite often when Im in the mood to just go for a walk on the property. SIMPLE as can be, and it has eaten THOUSANDS of shells over the years.

My Winchester Model 97 is my favorite, followed by the Savage 99 with top tang safety and then the Win 94. Plus any SXS or O&U Shotgun
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Any downward shucking pumpgun, Browning A-bolt and Ruger M77 left handed rifles are what I use.
Break open guns with tang safeties are nice, I have ordered LH safeties for my Model 12's.
My 870 is a righty, but I am used to it.
My first autoloader was a Rem 1100, rh. It spit powder residue all over my face so I traded it off for a lefty M1100 and haven't looked back.
The Stag lefty AR's are nice too, no powder in the face...
Handled a Colt 1911 LH version a while back. Seemed odd though...

I still have the first gun my dad bought for me -
a 16 gauge Ithaca Model 37 Modified Choke. I've shot tons of ducks and two deer with it.
I love that gun. I've never converted the safety to LH, although it can be done. I haven't shot it in over 20 years. Time to get it out of the back of the gun safe.

I'll chime in, as I'm a lifelong lefty, and shooter of right handed rifles.
The good (right handed rifles that are lefty friendly):
Savage 99's Remington 760/7600's Winchester 94's Marlin 336's AR-15 rifles ANY single shot/break open rifle or shotgun Mossberg 500 shotgun
... I use right handed bolts (Savage 110's, Win. 70's, sporterized Mausers, Springfields & Enfields, etc.), but reaching over the rifle/scope with my left hand, while holding the weight of the rifle in my right hand to throw the bolt makes them LESS THAN FRIENDLY IMHO, even if the safety is at the rear of the bolt (as in the case of my Savage 110's). I only own 1 left handed bolt action rifle, a Savage 110 in 30-06.
The bad:
AK-47's (and variants) M1 carbine (talk about a face full of gasses/powder residue) Most right handed muzzleloaders, especially traditionals (as opposed to in-line)
... I've never owned or shot a M1 Garand (always wanted one), but I'd love to hear from any lefties that have to hear IF the ejection port (especially the stuff that flies out) is an issue for a left handed shooter?
Obviously, I've included hunting and military weapons, and the "findings" are just my own, so feel free to disagree :-). -TomT

It can be an issue. My first experience with the Garand was about thirty years ago and it was not pleasant. About every third or fourth round on the particular rifle I was shooting caught me in the forehead and the damned en bloc clip smacked me every-damned-time. Still yet, I liked the way the rifle shot enough that I've since owned and shot a few more. My subsequent rifles (the first was a loaner) have not abused me and have consistently ejected the brass (and clip) forward and to the right. I suspect that the first rifle could've been tuned to eject differently.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

Ithaca 37 Pumps (you can even set up a LH safety for these), Savage 99's. These are some of the ones I hunt with. There are some 742's around with LH cheek piece and LH safety if you're into autoloaders.

I have owned several #1's - none at this time.
I find a Savage 99 a sweet brush and knock around gun.
Shotguns, I hunt with Beretta 390's and 391's

I have a savage 24F coming that should be at my FFL Monday. I can't wait.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
