I posted this in "Ask The Gunwriters" but think it's fully as appropriate here.
I have been shopping around for a Gen. 3 Glock 19 since December. None of the local shops have them. Gunbroker prices are a joke. I've looked at Bud's Gun shop, Brownells, Glockshop.com and many of the other common reliable resources online for them. Nobody has them.
I placed an order through one such place and received an email from them stating that the gun is on backorder (as advertized)and that GLOCK does not give them information on a shipping date.
My question is, what are you guys seeing out there for wait times to acquire the 9mm Glocks? I've seen boat loads of G22's,G23's,G21's etc.... Only once in a while can I come across a G26 or a G17, but have yet to see a G19 in over 2 months...
Interested in hearing what's going on out there in your neck of the woods...
The word is that similar issues are found with the XDS and Shields as well? What are you guys seeing out there?

9mm pistol numbers overall seem down around here, but I did see a few 19s in town this past weekend. Though I wanted to handle one, no Shields to be found.

I don't know anything about Glocks but, I have a neighbor that has been looking specifically for a Shield for some time now. She told me last night that she has been told there is a minimum of a 6-month wait time from numerous sources.
I guess I just got lucky finding mine when I did. I just wish I liked it better...

there are a few around Memphis, i just bought a Kahr CW9 for CC started out looking at the glocks but just too big and thick for my use. can't buy pistol ammo around here, local gun ranges get some reloads but sell out quick.

My son just asked a local dealer about the wait time for a S&W Shield in 40 S&W. He told him that he would be #15 on the 40 S&W list and #38 on the 9mm list. It does seem that more people want the 9mm.
BTW he had no idea when S&W would be ship or how many.
