If someone has conducted a test of penetration expansion or weight retention, can you share your findings? Or maybe point me at the right direction.

I am talking at 5.7 pistol velocities.

I dont know how much it will help but I have shot thousands of 40gr V Max,40gr BT's and 40gr BK's from my 222's and 223's at prairie dogs and rockchucks. Without a doubt the V-Max come undone the easiest because they have the softest jacket, the BT's penetrate the best, and in most of my rifles the BK's are the most accurate.
As far as weight retention laugh laugh laugh good luck I dont think they have any that is measureable !!!

The NBT has a thicker base and digs a bit deeper than the Vmax in my opinion.

Thank you guys.

My very informal penetration tests do show the 40 gr BT as the "toughest" of the 3.

Fotis, I'd load the 40gr BT's over Trueblue.
Due to it's blowback action, The 5.7x28 needs a fairly quick power for best performance.

So far I have used Blue dot due to the unavailability of True Blue.

6 gr gets me 1700 fps or so with the 40 BT's. No undue pressure and a fun load.
