May be late with this, but i just found out that Benelli is finally coming out with a 20 gauge m2 shotgun. It was at the Shot Show and is on their web page. There is a video on you tube featuring Joe Coogan. Synthetic only and msrp of $1500.00. Weight is around 5.3 lbs.

Any word on barrel length options or model numbers? Their website showed it but gave no specifics

I will have to look at this shotgun been waiting for this shotgun in LH 20 GA Bob, I picked up a left hand 1100 20 gauge with custom skeet wood and an extra barrel. I paid way to much for it but I wanted it badly. I have been running 24's and 25's at skeet with it which helps me forget paying way to much for a Remy 1100. Doc

I purchased both the 12 and 20 ga 1100 in Left Hand . I gave the 20 to my Doctor friend and still have the 1100 12 Skeet in LH . I sent it to Briley and had the 26 inch barrel shorten to 24 and fitted with their long chokes. I have killed a chit load of upland game with this shotgun . I also have both the 12 and 20 ga Left Hand 870's in high gloss. I gave the 20 ga 1100 to my friend because is was on the 12 ga frame and was just as heavy as my 12 ga 1100

I also have the lh 1100 20 gauge and the lh 870 20 gauge. You are correct. The frame is just the 12 gauge frame with a 20 gauge barrel. Not much in weight savings. I am hoping Benelli delivers a true 20 gauge with a 20 gauge frame.

TooTech, may want to look for a guy on guns international who is selling a turkish left hand 20 in blue and wood for about $750.00. Think its marketed by Legacy Sports called an Escort. I was gonna buy one the night i found out about the Benelli.

I was gonna buy one the night i found out about the Benelli. The gun listed on GI is now marked SPF. However, at the price he was asking, I think you're getting close to Benelli territory. I suspect that the buttstock and forearm from a "regular" right-handed Montefeltro would fit a left-handed version of the M2 and the parts are out there if that's what you wanted.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

I called today and they said it is backordered and will be at least 60 to 90 days.
Model number is 11195 LH M2 20 ga. 26" is the only length offered so far.

I could live with a synthetic stock if there was hope of an upgrade. Thanks for the idea. My Montefeltro and M1 will likely have some company.

Called a local store here just to get an update to see if they would be having this gun as a regular stock item, and to see when the approx. arrival time is......
And found out they now have some in stock. Have not seen any advertised nationally online yet. $1240 + tax.

I'll never give up my RH 20ga Montefeltro. It has the 24" bbl and handles like a dream on those wild dipin' n divin' PA doves. Unless I found one at a bargain price. <grin>

Lawdwaz,
As a lefty you feel this RH Montefeltro is good for a lefty? I saw on GB they have the youth/full stock combo and would not be bad for my boy to use (he is a righty) and I have used RH shotgun so they can work for me. At around $1K+ maybe this is shotgun my boy will keep forever <grins>.

I've never had a problem with empties buzzing by the right side of my face and loading it is a piece of cake when you hang onto the wrist with your left hand and just stuff em in with your right hand. Works perfect!
Switching the safety from RH to LH is a piece of cake.
