I have 1 of 3 Left Hand Tikka T3 Hunter's in 260 imported to Euro Optic last year. Thats what they told me anyways. They may have more in.

Dober I'd be looking for a LH SA 700 on the used market. You'd need to rebarrel to get one in 260. I'd think you could stay under budget with that path...
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

That's the path we've been taking a look at, gonna take a T3 run first though if the fella likes the gun.

Lefty Rem 700 SPS compact in a 243, then have it rebored. That would be $220 from Classic Barrel Works, plus 5-6 hundred for the rifle.

If you found a reasonaby price Remington, the rebore option would leave money in the budget for a Bansner stock.

Hey, you are supposed to post in the Left Hand section More than $1000 but for others who may be looking you can add the Sako 85 Hunter and the MRC 1999 to that list.
Gerry.

Dober Dober, Are you wrong-handed..... too? Just curious. Bob Actually I shoot off either side, 2 of my 4 Grandkids are lefty's but this question is for a friend of mine. His wife uses a .260 but is a righty. He wants to get a .260 for himself so he and his wife can carry the same round. IMO, unless he wants to build the Tikka would be the way to roll. Dober

Great idea to be carrying the same round. I'm a righty (mostly) but shoot a rifle left-handed. I looked at some left-hand Tikka lights the other day and was pleasantly surprised.
I'm not sure about the magazine and bullet length with some of the longer bullets but if I get more serious about a last-handed rifle I'll reaserch it more and/or be asking some of you folks the question. It might or might not be a consideration for your friend. I had the sme though/question about the (right-hand) magazine-fed stainless Remington .260 here in the classifieds.
Good luck to him, he obviously has good council.
Bob

Yep, factory Savage or rebarrel a 700. You could go with the MRC 1999 as previously mentioned but only if your friend likes toting around a boat anchor.

I think you will have more than a little trouble acquiring a LH Tikka in 260 if you actually needed one.
I recently purchase a Savage 260 in LH. It's a 10 series Predator. It's twisted right at 1/8. Wholesales $649
Please God, give me some good tags this year....
