My searchfu isn't worth a crap......so, is the Delta EC worth the $160 each way upgrade? There are no seats on the bulkhead available (row 31), so is an aisle or window worth it and which one would you choose? Thanks.

Yep. and the aisle seat makes getting up to stretch, use the bathroom etc. easier, especially if everyone else is asleep..

Is the bulkhead seats better than other Economy Comfort seats?

Found this after I picked the worst seat on a long flight, now I check!

Nothing worse than checking, picking the right seat then to find out that the recline feature is broken! I check it as soon as I sit down.

I had asked the exact same question a couple of weeks ago.

https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth...279656/Delta_Economy_Comfort#Post7279656

I ended up on the middle bay on the aisle. And I booked my flights direct through Delta.

JGR: Another reccomendation I would have is to book flights through someone with lots of African Travel experience, Gracy Travel in San Antonio is my fave, but theres other good ones out there. If it costs a tad more, trust me its worth it...all your questions will be answered ahead of time, and Steve Gracy repeated bailed us out of messes on one return trip where everything went wrong...

The "lardazz" seat is Business (power seat even folds flat to sleep) and it'll cost a pretty penny.....likely to cost more than a typical PG safari! shocked

While ingwe likes Gracy, I'll mention another one. Steve Turner, Travel with Guns, did my son and I an absolutely awesome job, for our trip to Zim, in August 2011.

I'm going Delta in June and have the EC seats both ways. Previous trips have been on SAA and was treated very well, good seats and lots of great food. Didn't care for the stop in Dakar and the smelly stuff sprayed on everything. Taking the wife and she insisted on EC seats.

+1 on Steve. He did a great job for us planning a fairly complex trip and jumped through hoops when a flight was missed.

EC is the way to go. To prepare us mental for the 16hr trip we joke among ourselves that is just sitting in a tree stand except that you can have beer.
