This one is sweet boys. I'm two for two (high house, low house).

I'm thinking Argentina.

The cocking handle is all the way back but I don't see an ejection port.

Bottom ejecting?

Coulda been uglier, but it would have taken some effort.

If that is set up for bottom ejection, there will be a lot of lefty shooters buying one. I may be the first in line.

Bottom ejection. New gas system. Much more coming later in terms of details.

Yes, lefties rejoice.

I'm not a fan of the new Jetson-Age shotgun designs. I can tell you that this is not over the edge. It has a different look, but I'd not rate it a rice-rocket by any means.

I like it better than the 1100 already.

it's no wonder beretta continues to sell so many shotguns, this coming from an original rem 1100 and 1187 owner. I simply can not find anything to like about the remingtons. to my way of thinking, the beretta 303 is all about what a semi-auto shotgun should look and feel like. I got mine in 20 ga, new, before the went to the current production stuff of the 390 variety. the long forearms don't appeal to me. I remember going to various skeet shooting facilities and typically, the rental guns were beretta 303s, those who ran the facilities said they liked the 303s 'cause you could shoot them a lot and clean them a little.

oh well, beretta and benelli will continue to rule the roost

I'll assume you don't shoot left handed.

Doesn't look so bad to me. I like it.

It looks new without going overboard. If one wants traditional looks, there are a million to choose from already.

Would let it in my safe. Gotta love the advantages of bottom ejection even if you're right handed. I like the looks of the checkering. Still has an 1100 feel/look to it but updated. Give me one in 28 gauge.

No, I don't shoot left handed but if I did, I would probably go the over/under route (have one and really like it). If the o/u was not appropriate for the particular hunting situation, I would go with a pump. still, I have a benelli sbe and it make for a nice waterfowl gun but I find I take the old mossberg more often as duck hunting can be wet and messy. also, you can use the mossberg for a paddle if you motor gives out. I think the original 1100 form yester-year was a nice shotgun but the 11-87 got a bit heavy. I think rem should go to the alloy receiver like benelli and beretta to make them a bit lighter and more modern. just my $.02.

Mannlicher, Miami, FL? I grew up there, around 112th street and Old Cutler Road. Palmetto High School. Been gone since 82" but back annually with wife, kids and boat for lobster season.

It is bottom feed, bottom eject. Weight isn't an issue with this one like it was with the 1187. The gun only weighs 7 pounds.

This gun isn't a pimped up 1100 or 1187. It is a completely new design. It has a skeletonized titanium receiver with carbon fiber shell. The rib is also carbon fiber. It has speed feed, and rotary lock up on the bolt.

Recoil is listed at almost 50% less than other semi auto shot guns. Part of this is due to an oil filled damping cylinder in the butt stock, whereas other semi auto's simply use a spring system. There is a spring over the piston of the damping cylinder to return the bolt to the forward position, but the recoil reduction comes from the rearward movement of the action against the oil.

20 gauge isn't available yet, it will be offered later. All that will be available at the beginning is 12 ga with a 26 or 28 inch barrel. It will take 2 3/4 or 3" shells. It comes in it's own FAA approved lockable molded case.

The safety operates just like the 1187 safety, but it is a completely new fire control.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Wildcard,

Do you know the OAL of the gun? Or, if a sporting clays version is planned?

One of the bloggers mentioned a skeet version would you have any info on when the 105 will hit the market?

OAL with the 28 inch barrel is 48 3/4, with flush chokes. Pro bore extended chokes will also become available.

I don't know what the plans are for a sporting clays version.

I'm also not sure exactly when it will hit the market. Obviously, Remington will want to get it out as quick as they can.
