They trimmed his tail for you, so you won't have no problem mounting him this time.

Ben,

It's a double hit. You'll miss the hunt and those of us who know you are going to miss you big time.

Next year for sure.

To those of you who are men of faith and prayer. I could surely use some prayer and healing. I have been battling stupid high blood pressure and debilatating headaches with exhaustion and nausea for about a week now. If I am not lots better in one month, I will be pretty miserable company and have to leave all of the driving to Rattler, which is not fair to him. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Thursday, and a call in to my Nephrologist (Kidney SPecialist). My kidney on the right side is so big now that if I take my shirt off you can see it sticking out under my ribcage and I and my wife can easily feel it there. I really am looking forward to this and been planning for it, it would be great if I felt at least halfway good for the trip. Thanks, MARK

safariman,

You've got the Fire rooting and praying for you. Do what you need to do, get better, and shoot some hogs with us.

Looking forward to shaking your hand.

Thanks, the NEphrologist just ordered up some labs for me, might be time to start seriously looking for that spare kidney. I have some awfully nice guns to offer up in trade for one. smile

You can bet that I will be trying to trade you out of one, too! I envy people like you who can make things. I have ten thumbs and zero patience. I am looking forward to meeting you, Mr. Hoghunter.

Supplies are on order for the original High Wall. So I turn my attention to the Walker replica.

No one, and I mean no one, has .454 lead round balls in stock. frown Guess I'm gonna try to make .457's work.

You need conicals for that baby.

Hmmm...never have tried conicals. The last Walker I had 25 years ago did shoot very well with round balls, at least until the barrel leaded. I was using the historic powder charge of 60 gr grin The new guns apparently have reduced capacity cylinders, so you can't go that high.
