Your opinion is wrong. These were made long before Camillus started reproducing the bullet knives of the early 80's. Before you accuse someone of misrepresenting something , know the facts.

Not sure exactly why you feel Camillus/bullet knives have anything to do with the topic at hand, because they don't. Totally irrelevant. I agree that the knife was made before the Camillus repros. Made in the 1970s. However, the Camillus knives were AUTHORIZED, not ripped off.

I suggest you do a little more research........

1974 - Remington formed a German sales subsidiary, Remington Arms GmbH in Wurzburg. The subsidiary was liquidated in 1988. This is from the remington company history. The knife is not counterfeit, and I should'nt have to defend or explain anything to you. Maybe you should change your name to TOO MUCH MOUTH. 35 years of buying selling and tradeing knives , there is'nt much I have not seen or owned. None the less , I will not banter with you, you have an opinion , and so do I. sorry I called you a loud mouthed douche bag. YOUR JUST A DOUCHE!

Nice try douche nozzle. Google can be a dangerous thing. Please show how this pertained to CUTLERY. It didn't.

You sure haven't learned much, for 35 years. Knowing what I know of knives/ collectors, if you have been at it as long as you say you have, you are either a dumbass, a crook, or both.

Can you say "bogus, phony, or fake".

I knew you could............. laugh

So what is wrong with that?
I do not understand why you are attacking this guy & his sale ?
The knife he is selling may or may not be a collectible Remington knife but clearly it is of very nice German quality ,and his price is fair. I have handled many German pocket knives & they are made very nice. Look at the bone on this knife.
I'm tempted myself. Maybe the OP would do a trade with me. I'll take the Remington etch off & use this one !

First off, he is clearly misrepresenting it. I hardly feel Remington believes the time some Germs counterfeited their knives to be a "nice old time in Remington history".

The knife is a FAKE. If he he wants to sell it as such, so be it. But that is how it should be presented. This knife has about as much to do with Remington history as a pair of Chinese toenail clippers.

They did the same thing to Winchester knives in the 1970s, FWIW. Lots of FAKE Winnys out there.

Secondly, he obviously does not mind screwing someone. Go ahead and get it from him. The people who already have bids on it will just be [bleep], that's all. I'm sure he won't mind, and it sounds like you don't either.........

I am pretty sure a seller can terminate an auction early on Ebay, if it sold here first.

Remington collectors surely would know if this knife is a "fake" as you say. Maybe it is,I do not know & I do not care.
But he is selling a German made 2 blade folder ,large, with great bone & in great condition. At $75. it is a great price for this knife.

Even if a newby Rem. collector bought it ,at $75. what a great learning lesson.

I would agree with you 2much,if he were asking say $150. or more, but in this case, however the heck he is representing this knife it seems to be a decent buy.
I think you made your point that the knife might not be a genuine Rem. authorized repro. So unless you have knowledge that this seller is NG,you probably should leave it alone.
Unless of course you just feel the need to crap all over his thread.

Bump for a nice German made knife at a decent price,no matter what markings are on it.

2much,one thing about selling knives....Always let the buyers dollars speak for what they want. I know collectors who buy fakes just to have them for comparison.

If you cannot see the WRONG in having a knife up for sale at the SAME TIME it is being BID ON by others, then I simply don't know what else to say here.

And just to clue you in a bit, these knives normally fetch around $40. 2 Winnys, nicer than these, with fancy gold etches, counterfeited at Olbertz (same place) just went for $29 and $41 dollars, respectively. This week. So if you feel $75 is a great price, by all means, [bleep] the other bidders, and buy it........
