I know there are many good knife makers on here. I am looking for someone to make me a custom leather sheath for a small fixed blade I just picked up. Looking for a horizontal carry sheath. Don't need fancy, just quality. Can any recommend someone, or if you are a custom maker, send me some links to pixs so I can see what you have to offer. Thanks in advance.

A gun in the hand is worth more than the entire police force on the phone.

I've bought a number of sheaths by Al and Karen Thomas from their E-Bay store http://stores.ebay.com/alscrafts . Excellent quality. They also do work to custom specs. Email: bladesinleather yahoo.com Also, Robert Jones http://www.handsewnleather.com/

Chris Kravitz at Treestump Leather in Ellsworth Maine has been making sheaths forever. I went up and he spent the afternoon giving me pointers. Great guy and very highly regarded. He is in Blade Magazine making sheaths for top makers all the time.

You won't do better than a sheath by Larry Parsons. Best work I've ever seen.

Parsons is fantastic. So is G. Fellers Casemaker...

For turn-around time and top quality, Paul Long is worth more than a mention.
G. Fellers will take a while.
