120 gr TTSX with Rl-15, Varget, 2000MR, or CFE-223 should get you between 2950-3100 fps in your 20" barrel and work for anything you care to hunt.

To answer your question, I think Speer makes a 130gr BTSP that would be cool in the 7mm-08. I think I remember Sierra making a 130gr HP but don't know if they still do.
As for the 120's, I've yet to find a powder as fast as CFE-223 in the 7mm-08 with 120's......I can easily achieve 3200fps with a 22" barrel and have seen 3300fps with no pressure signs.....I settled on 3200 for the accuracy!

H4895, RL-17, W760, Varget, etc. would all work pretty well.

Bullet - Hornady 139 gr BTSP (Part# 2825) Case - Winchester Primer - CCI 200 O.A.L. - 2.755"
H-4895 - 40.5 gr
(42.5 gr is maximum)
This combo gives me 1" 6-shot groups at 100 yds out of my Ruger Frontier. Sorry, that O.A.L. is wrong, it's supposed to be 2.775".

Count me in the 42gr Varget and 140 Accubond crowd. Little groups and proven killers from a Tikka T3.

I'll pile on to the Ramshot Big Game/120 NBT recommendation. I run 49.5 grs. and that gets me just about 3100 MV. Kills the chit outta deer.

I too like a little heaver bullet in my 7mm-08. I have two "go-to" loads I use depenting on expected range.
1) Hornady 154gr Round Nose on top of 47.5gr H414 @ 2,735 FPS 2) Speer 145gr Hot-Cor SP with 48.0gr IMR4350 @ 2,830 FPS
Both of these loads shoot sub MOA in my rifle and I always get pass through shots. I have never recovered either of these bullets.
My favorite is the 154 RN. It is the most accurate bullet in three different 7mm-08's. It totally hammers whitetails and is excellent on hogs as well.
A couple of weekends ago I got two hogs with one shot at 100Yds with the 154 RN. Another hog stepped in front of the hog I was aiming at just as I fired. It was a broadside shot and the bullet hit the first hog in the head just in front of the ear, passed completely through, hit the second hog just behind and slightly below the ear (right where I was aiming) and again passed through. Both were DRT.
Regards firstshot

Going against the grain here, 120 gr TTSX or 120 NBT with 49 gr W760 (H414) gives me around 3100 out of my 24 in barrel and <.5 groups at 100 yds (Noler TGR rifle). I'm not at the max for my rifle though, but work up to this if you try it as it might be max in yours. Kills deer "graveyard dead," which is definitely better that just "dead," "stone dead," or "stiff as a board."
I currently have 4 lbs of Varget (unobtainum), and am going to try some of that with some 140 NAB just for fun. I wanted to try some 2000-MR or CFE 223, but didn't pick up any before the current run on powder. I'll wait until powders are back in stock and will give some a try.

My standard load is 48gr H4350 behind a 140gr of your choice.
