I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I have several of them... I could sell them and buy a brick of .22 at the next gun show.

No bigger fan of the pre 64 M70 than me....but the collector thing has resulted in some really crazy pricing and it shows no sign of slacking off.
I have refused to "play" for years now (I hunt mine)and avoid the hype like a contagious disease.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Twenty five or so years ago when I was moving a few Winchesters around, I had a source that had bunches of them new for twenty bucks. He was a winchester distributor and bought them on close out. Wish I had bought some for future use. I could use one now. Jack

Yep 22LR is about worth it's weight in gold around my parts... You can still find match ammo at $20 per 50 but.. I can shoot the '55 300H&H for less than that LOL. (as long as my powder, primers, and bullets hold up)
