Does the MTA run that far?? Jayzus, the 'MTA'? I haven't heard it called that since the 70s... Is Charley still trying to get off? No - "he's the man who never returned".

I'm from Montana ( on the left hand side of the map). I don't get it...... Ingwe, it ain't easy to get unless a guy has been up that way quite a bit. There are some great folks here and there in Beantown, but odd colloquial accents and often a very limited geographical view of the US - am surprised that "Montaner" even made it onto the map.

That is TOO funny! I just stole it and emailed it to a couple of NH friends of mine. Ed

I somewhat remember trying to find the T that disappeared after a night on Landsdown street back in the 80's. Sure was a lot easier to find your way home after a night out on the tractor paths in Western MA, than figuring out that thing that cant decide which way it is going called Public Transportation.....
That is a tricky spot to try to navigate out of, as there's really only one way to get to the T (green line) from Lansdowne, back up the hill with the backside of the Green Monster on your left, then right at the top to Kenmore Sq. All other ways lead to places you won't find a subway for a couple miles. But I guess you learned that already. You also probably learned, if you left the clubs at closing time, that the T stops running about an hour before you got tossed out.

I wondered if anyone would remember poor old Charley. Absolutely. But his fate is still unlearned.

I got a kick out of the "beer and smokes"! I dont think I ever made a trip to Boston without someone, icluding myself, needing to stop at the liqour store on 95. It was always exciting looking out for the unmarked troopers so we wouldnt get busted for tax evasion and bootleggin when crossing back into Maine with a trunk full of hootch! Too funny. Used to be, me and my buddies--and thousands of other Massholes-- used to head up to NH on Sundays for beer (before the laws changed no booze sales on Sunday in MA--not to mention no sales tax). Exit 1, Rockingham Park. "So, we heading to the park or what?"

If you get it, you'll giggle. Great stuff. Having driven in Mass., and dealing with Massholes for years on the way to visit family in the Great State of Maine, I'm familiar with most everything on the map.
