I would not register my guns regardless of any law passed. That being said, I think the author is way off base on other things in the article. Why does the government need to know what car you drive? So your registration fees can pay for the roads you drive on. I am not aware of any state where you must register cars you don't drive on the road. How many kids you have? So they can be provided an education.
I agree completely the government has NO business even knowing what firearms I own, what books I read or to which church I go. However, the author comes off like a crackpot.
