A couple pics of my two LH Sako's. Top is a 375H&H Deluxe and the other is the AV action 25-06 Hunter that I got off the Campfire last summer. I have one other Sako, an older 22-250 HB, beavertail forend right handed gun that is an absolute tack driver.
I came across a rare Sako a few years back and passed it up. It was a factory leftie in 9.3x62.
Last year leftie Sako 85's were released here. They're selling locally for around $2000. Its a long action and available in a few regular calibres and 9.3x62 and 9.3x66
You ever notice how you don't see too many beat up Sakos? I think people appreciate a fine rifle when they hold it, so they take care of it. I don't have a closeup of it but here's my 591 7mm-08 bought here on the fire. Not a scratch on it and it shoots itty bitty groups with 120 gr TTSX.
Larry, You done good on that 25-06, how's it shoot?
Hey, welcome to the dark side righty!
I had some good success with my handloads last summer. Then when I went to shoot it to confirm things right before leaving to hunt Pennsylvania things went south. Granted it was a windy rainy day and I was rushing things.....The groups were not what I was looking for so I confirmed things with my 243 and ended up taking that and my 300WSM NULA as a back up plan.
I plan on spending much more time this spring with the Sako 25-06.
By the way Larry, The Model 7 SS 7-08 your buddy passed on was bought by a nice guy in Idaho for his son who scored his first moose with it! Sometimes things work out O.K.

I still feel bad about that deal. That's pretty cool about the kids moose!
Sako AV in .25-06. I had the bolt engine turned awhile back. My go-to rifle for most stuff. Bob
Nice. Is that a Fiberclass? I didn't think they made them LH.
Yes; it's a McMillan. It was offered in both wood and Fiberglass. Standard blue. I had it glassed and pillared after I bought it, along with the engine-turning. Only criticism I have is that Sako uses 22.5" barrels; a 24" would be better. I guess it kills just as well with the 22.5", though. Bob
