I've been seriously looking at the EAW QD Mounts and Rings. I like their appearance, concept, and design.

Anyone here have any experience on how they function and perform? If so, I'd appreciate any insights.

I used them years ago. They worked fine and, like most things German, were very nicely made. However, I did not find them to be superior enough over other quality QD systems to justify their high cost.

They lockup like a bank vault and return to zero perfectly. I had a pair mounted on a 700 I owned up a long time ago . I had a 1.5-6x42 30mm Swaro scope mounted in those rings. Installation was easy , the top of the rings had to be pulled apart or otherwise scratch a scope tube . I used thin shoelaces for this I held onto them for about 5 years after I sold the rifle and scope and got 2x what I paid for them grin

I've got the EAW swing mounts on two Steyrs. They are rock solid. I have complete confidence the scopes will return to zero when taken off & on. I don't have any experience with any other QD mounts, so can't compare.
