How many are planning on using the 10 mm to take your hog and what load are you going to use?

I'll be using the G20sf Bobby hooked me up with. 180 gr XTP from Underwood. I'm not set up to load for it yet.

Colt Delta Elite, somewhat tricked out. My all purpose handload is a 180gr Gold Dot at a chronographed 1,375fps. With decent shot placement that load should be sufficient.

I need to sell some more guns to pay for the trophy fees of the hogs I hope to put a smackdown onto! Anyone here feel the need for a pre 64 Model 70 in 220 Swift? I could load up some Barnes TSX Bullets for it and the new owner could put the big kibosh on any hog that walks with that rifle and load.

You guys are convincing me to go ahead and pack the Colt Combat Elite and some decent 200 gr hollow-points should the opportunity present itself.

I'll form my opinion on it after the mobile ballistic gel test. It's gotta live up to the 1911.......

Hard to not like 15+. The Glock might grow on me.

Pretty sure you were posting about one, a new version Delta Elite, in the handguns forum not long ago. Did you sell it, or are you being your usual understated comic relief self once again?

I made progress today with my High Wall; I found a bullet it likes, and a 405gr at 1370fps oughta take care of any pig in Tennessee.

I bumped the charge on the .54 Hawken to 90gr of Swiss FFFg, and it grouped better. It's running the balls 1810 fps. I reckon it's ready, too. smile

Well, if you like mine well enough maybe we can talk about some kind of a deal. Mine has a Storm Lake bbl, CT grips and all Wilson Combat "Bullet Proof" (Thier best, I am told) guts inside. Jack Huntington and Kevin Gibson have each worked it over considerably.

See you there!
