What brand ringmounts did you decide on? I much prefer ringmounts for a Sako myself. It just doesn't make sense to me to add a base to an existing base.I do however wish there were more choices in Ringmounts for the Sako.

Sako Optilock Ringmounts
Yes, that's a nice picture, but I called Beretta when I got tired of looking for stainless ringmounts and was told they are only importing the high polished blue models to the U.S. that may have changed by now as that has been a year ago................Hb

This whole Sako scope mounting system is a poor design in My opinion, that's why I sold all My Sako's as I couldn't live with my scope just being clamped on the reciever, I'm old school I like My scope attached to the reciever with genuine screws, it may be OK for a rimfire rifle but I can't live with it on a centerfire rifle.................Hb

Optics planet has the best price I've found on ring mounts, if you want stainless in the US you have to try Canadian stores

If you utilize the factory optilock mounts or 1pc ringmounts they make use of the recoil pin seating on rear of dovetail. This set-up is rock solid and easily removed and replaced without loss of zero. Optilocks on all Sakos for me.

Well isnt that crazy...us Canadians having a product that Beretta should import but chose not to for the USA.

try calling or emailing Corlanes Sports / Rocky Mountain Rifles in Dawson Creek, British Columbia...maybe they can mail you the stainless ones.
