I came across a NIB AAC Micro Seven last evening. They have always been kind of hard to find, especially now. My local dealer got a new one in yesterday and called me. It's a neat little gun. I'm going to pass on it. Thought I'd post it here if anyone was looking for one.
Remington Model 7 16" barrel 1 in 7" twist Threaded 5/8 for a suppressor AAC check piece
I can post up some pictures if anybody is interested. It's not mine, it's at a local dealer.

I'm not in the market, but I'd be interested in seeing what a micro 7 is.

That's what AAC calls it. It's just a Remington Model 7 with a 16" threaded 1 in 7" barrel.

They even have some ammo available. Both sub and super sonic stuff. I really thought about it, but I have too many irons in the fire right now.

900 bucks for what is no more than a standard Rem 700 basically that has some threads on the end. 450 bucks at academy on standard rifles all day long, 299 on sale at places at times.
I"ve always wondered what makes folks think that if they buy a 150 buck reamer to ream a standard barrel diameter and put threads on the end, they can double the price.
But I guess I"m strange that way.
Would be a nice one to have with a can on it for sure. I looked at em and noticed the price and thought...hmmm buy a 299 gun on sale, and put a GOOD barrel on it and wont' be all that much different cost wise plus have a true chamber and a barrel thats worth more than 15 bucks.

I'll stick to my AR in the caliber, but if you prefer bolts there's no reason why it would not work fine. I've seen one locally for ~$825 or so.

Bolt would allow the most quiet, thats why I"m after an on/off gas block for my ARs...

Bolt would work for my needs with a can but I have seen one on an AR that was a dream. Good by coyotes. Neighbors would never know.

I got to fire one recently. It had the can installed. Sounded like a 10/22 or so, but certainly loud enough that someone could hear you. He had 220gr bullets loaded, so I am sure they were lobbing them out there.

The one I played with was so quiet the bullet strike was the loudest part.

A lot of money in my opinion for a model 7 with a short barrel and injection molded stock.

It's at First Stop Gunshop in Rapid City, SD. Google has it. Good folks. I have no connection with them other than they get a lot of my play money.

Jeff You just made a world of incorrect assumptions. The barrel on this rifle alone is $400 retail. What do you mean put a "good" barrel on it. It already has a good barrel. Why are you assuming it comes with a bad barrel? This is custom made for AAC to AAC's specs, not a Remington barrel and - with high tolerance bore, 5R, 1/7 twist, and nitrided. Show me a $300 rifle with a Nitrided barrel. People spend a lot to get their barrel nitrided. The receiver is custom made for AAC and is not an off-the-shelf M7. It has M24 scope screws, something that Remington only offers on the military rifles. The scope base is higher-end with 7075-T6 aluminum and a true Picatinny spec, not a Weaver. Trigger is the X-Mark Pro. Threading a barrel is often $150 by a gunsmith. It comes with a thread protector and a cheek piece and hardware worth at least $80.

Everyone sees value differently. No problem. I just thought they were very hard to come by. That's why I posted this. It looks like they are more available than I thought.
