RAS I appreciate that but I better not...don't want my "cornflakes pissed in" or anything again this week grin

99guy: I'm starting to like the guns with some history more and more these days I guess. Nice to find guns with some use that got taken care of...and clean screw slots.

Hard to follow a killer like Loggah, but need to get on the wagon. 99F-308, 53EG-300 with lightfoot mount, and one with character, and the accuracy to put one in a gnats behind 99C-30-30.

Hey Mudslicks!
how ya likin' that mount? I put one on my .250 EG (posted pics earlier in the thread) and that rifle will shoot lights out now. I may try it on my 1899G just to test loads.

I love it. I like them more than spending the extra $$ it takes to get the stith mounts. Although I must say if I were to scope any prewar 99, I would spend the money. Just b/c they are more period.

Savage 99-A 375 Win.

I have another one in 99C 284 Win. but it's up to camp. I have bought and sold a few others over the years but these two have always been my favorite.

That would be Don rather than LBK. If you've ever met Don you'd know that his suspenders would reach just fine to hold your socks up. grin
