JB in SC Campfire Regular J Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 2,810 South Carolina	Weaver style bases were supplied with early rifles, you can find them here. http://www.remington.com/products/accessories/gun_parts/scope_mounts.asp Leupold makes a one-piece STD type base for the 504 and Burris makes two-piece mounts.

I looked through the last Weaver base chart I had and they were nowhere to be found (had a friend looking for some as well). The Remington versions are all steel. Good shooting, JB
