Want to come up with as light a weight 223 rem rifle as possible. 16 in barrel is fine. Action type isn't important. This going to be an on the go coyote rifle that anyone in the family can handle. I have to do something about the chicken killers that are about to put me out of the free range egg business.
not exactly known for their weight-saving measures, CZ...
Oh really? My 527 carbine with 18 inch barrel and 1 inch simple leather sling,Leupold 4x Compact ,5 rounds of ammo goes just a touch less than 7 pounds.
My daughter(9)and I handled a lot of light weight rifles but due to the adjustable stock and weight distribution, she could handle the 6720 better than anything we looked at.
The only thing that may have been better is the Montana but because we wanted the entire family to be able to use it,the adjustable stocked AR trumped a cut down Montana.
It'll weigh around 6# or a bit less depending on scope selection. I've an older pre-G2 frame in carbine mode with a petite Millett SP-1 sight that will run MOA with a .30-30 barrel and plastic butt and forearm. Weighs 5#5oz. G2 is available in .223.
I am..........disturbed.
