Nice.
I too have a Montana on the way. Mine is a 'campfire famous non-shooting 7-08. It should be here Monday.
I have a couple of Lilja's in the closet...a 6mm and a 6.5. Can't decide if I want to rebarrel it to 243 or 260.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Look out! She might steal it!

Ted, it should be a fun little rifle!
PG, you are to blame.(it really is simple to buy on-line...this could be bad....grin)
2.5-8x36 with B&C and Talleys. Almost went with a 6x36/dots but I figured 8x with the finer reticle might be a little nicer for canine sized targets.
No turret, strictly a point and shoot truck gun!
What's the magic load for the 95 BT's?

Happy to be a bad influence!
The 2.5-8 will be a great scope, I had one on my Montana 243 before it got kidnapped.

I kinda doubt it Billy. Your old 6.5 may be getting turned down to a Montana contour....

Ted, wife might shoot it a little but she's more of a 17HMR or 22lr type. Which is fine with me!
SAS, you find your's in Idaho also? Good luck with Kimber roulette...grin

Can't decide. The Creedmoor may work better with mag box length. I'll do some measuring next week.
I have a BUNCH of 260 brass though...

Yeah PG, the 2.5-8 is a nice fit for the 84M.
SAS, oh okay(you buy off gunbroker?). Shop that sold mine has a bunch of Montana's listed so I thought maybe the same place.
You guys bother bedding your Montana's?
My wood stock 84M was good to go as is. Zero problems so far.

I saw the rifles listed on Gunbroker. They have a bunch. Even had a 7-08 earlier this week.
Sam--I worked out a trade deal with Take A Knee, hence my reference to a famous non-shooting "Montana".
I'd give it a skim bed in the lug area. Karnis helped me with my first and I honestly believe it helped a bunch.

I haven't bothered bedding either of mine (I also have a 7mm-08 Montana). I probably should one of these days, but haven't had any troubles.

SAS, gotcha. You are a brave man!
Savage62, great point. This will be strictly for coyotes and the occasional stray lapdog that decides to chase cows.....grin
PG, I might just be lazy see how it shoots as is. I don't know, we'll see.

The only factory rifles that interest me right now are the montucky .308 and the new mountain rifle in 7/08.. Boredom is setting in. You know what happens then..
