Use it in my 6x47 and it's a nice powder. Fast speeds and great metering.

I use in in my 338 rcm, It made the best velocity with good accuracy with 210 and 225 bullets of the few powders I tried.
I can't speak for its temperature insensitivity or how dirty as I have just been shooting it in a bolt gun and typically 20 or so rounds at a sitting.

I can't speak to the dirty issue.
In bolt rifles can't see how it makes any difference and I don't do semiautomatics.

I run it in my .223 rem sometimes and I get good accuracy out of it. Can't really attest to the dirty part though...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

BL-C2 and its cousin H380 are the dirtiest and most temp sensitive in the Hodgdon line-up. Just for dirty H414 (W760)also. That said they are still very useful powders.

Does it burn dirty like everyone says? powdr Buy a crap load of patches, and brushes and a decent cleaning rod. Other than that it's okay from what I can recall. Jim

I have been using it in 223, 308. I can't tell if its dirty, it work flawlessly. There are some better powders for it, but not enough to debate.

It is a double based powder. Most, if not all, double based powders burn dirtier than single based powder.

BL-C(2) is the first powder I used when reloading. This was for a .222Remington in 788. I used 23 grains for a Sierra 55 gr. SP. bullet, Rem. brass and a CCI small rifle Mag. primer. The velocity wasn't top notch but I dispatched a whole bunch of Rockchucks and Sage Rats. In sighting in I was getting less than 1/2" inch groups at 100 yds. Some days would shoot over 100 rounds. Dirty burning was a minor consideration.

Varget, RL15 and IMR4064 are much better for the 9.3x62 than BLC(2). Please search this forum for reload data on 9.3x62 and google search for MD's info on this cal.

I've happily used it in the .308 Win, .30-30 and the .204 Ruger.
Very satisfactory results in all three cartridges.
Dirty? Not that I noticed, but I wasn't really looking. Just swabbed out the bores after use, as usual.

Been loading it in my AR for a while now and has done pretty good. I also bought a few jugs of WC846 which is said to be the same thing.
