I'm curious as to just how bad their "assault weapon" problem is. I mean what percentage of crimes involving firearms could be attributed to AR, AK or any other similar platform. I really wonder if this law would have any significant affect on their crime figures. I doubt it. One thing we really have to watch out for, is any factual information getting considered in their thought process.

These idiots -- New York Daily News is saying Lanza had a 7 by 4 foot spreadsheet of mass killers in nine point font (small). And this panel does gun controls and "will work on mental health in the weeks to come." Is there something in Northeast water?

Mental Health is a serious loop hole. It was the "mentally ill" who were rounded up and sent to the Soviet Gulags. You're mentally ill if they say you're mentally ill. Being crazy has nothing to do with being "mentally ill", if you get my drift.

On the local radio one night, he was a guest and he talked about basically banning everything but flintlocks because that was what they were shooting when the 2nd amendment was written. Unfortunately our local and State Police will enforce these laws if enacted, unlike other states where LEO actually care about the Constitution and have stated that they would not enforce these laws.

I am only aware of one state, Colorado, where a few sheriff's said they would not enforce such laws, and the law is not even signed or effective yet. I would believe it best to wait and see what kind of State and Federal pressures they might encounter and then see if they hold that line.
