Also a fine trip sharing a drive with Pat. If you have to drive 950 miles in a day, Pat's a great guy to share the trip  Also a excellent lunch and tour of N'Orleans by SteveNO. Those homes in the Garden District are just exquisite. I managed to blood my .54 Hawken, and also the .45-90 Winchester - heck I even managed a semi-competent spot & stalk exercise to harvest the big sow. My shoulder is only slightly bruised  tonight. Not sure if it was the 8 bore, or the .577. Glad some folks were able to shoot some of mine, like the Baer, the AR10, the High Wall, and the Walker.
