I've already got tarps and tarp type shelters, but recently been looking the Bear Paw shelters and the selection they have. At present I've no need for any new shelter but I am just curious if anyone has used any of their products? Seems like they have an big selection, have custom options available, choice in fabric, and the prices seem reasonable.

Yes, I have a tarp, bought it used on a hiking forum site. It's great for the tarp tent/emergency shelter which is what I wanted it for.

I use one of his nests in my SL5. Very well made product. I plan on buying one of his tarp systems for a bivy shelter.

For about a month after the snow melts off, my favorite hiking / fishing area has the worst mosquitoes I've ever run into .. ever. This makes bug bivys a personal interest. I've got several. I just ordered a Bear Paw XL this morning, thanks for the link. It looks better than any I've tried.
In some ways, I like the OR Designs bug bivy, BUT it has only a zipper at the top, no side zip, which really increases the pain in the ass factor.
Instead, mostly I've been using an REI "bug hut 1" which is pretty good, lots of space up around my head, but I squirm a bit at night and I've crawled off the ground sheet and gotten my sleeping bag grubby ... not a great thing.
I hope this addresses the shortcomings of both. If so, I may have some gear for sale.
Anyone who thinks there's two sides to everything hasn't met a Mbius strip.

I had him make up a couple of custom sized tarps for me. Great quality and very quick to ship them out. I'd highly recommend him.

I have one of his nests for an SL3. Works great for short folks, but that is not Bear Paw's fault as he made it to fit the Golite tipi. When I ordered online I forgot some detail and he called me promptly the next day on my cell and got it sorted out. Great customer service.
