My second favorite gun writer is -was C.E. Harris. H e used to write some wonderful technical articles, mostly in Gun Digest, and Handloaders digest, and the American Rifleman.
Gun digest has really gone to !@#@!, he doesn't seem to write there anymore, or anywhere else. Did he die or quit writing ? or is he co-habitating with Ross Siefried?

Dunno about today, but up until around 2003 he was haunting www.Loadyourown.com Fine fellow and I hope he is doing well.

harris is excellent. i really liked the stuff he wrote on the mosin-nagant rifles, handloading for it, and tuning the old war horses.

I like Ed Harris writing too. He has posted recently at the link below. I believe he has been working with a radio club. I like small game and low power varmint rifles. Ed Harris and Greg Mushial (GMDR.com) are the two most active experimantors I am aware of with these cartridges and modern powders. http://guns.connect.fi/gow/ed.html
