I browsed around "Search".. So I'll ask you learned Gents:
I have a Savage 99R with a scope. Elevation adj. only, appears to be Stith Windage adj. mount. No bell shape on the look see end. Straight collar with two knurles. Slanted front to fit the mount. Only marks are:
Kollmorgen Optical, Brooklyn New York. On the Elev. knob it is marked "Stith Bear Cub". I don't see any power markings at all ??. I'm assuming this is either a 2.5X or 4X fixed. I looked through my 1954 Stoegers Catalog and all they show is Stith adj. for windage and elev.scopes ??. I sure appreciate the help on this one.. Harv..

A straight tube on the front end would be the 2.5X.

IIRC, the pre-Redfield Kollmorgan scopes had 26mm, 1.023", diameter tubes.

IIRC, the pre-Redfield Kollmorgan scopes had 26mm, 1.023", diameter tubes. True with the exception of the Bear Cub Deluxe 2.5X - It is 7/8" The 2.75X Bear Cub Super is 26mm and would also be a straight front end.

Thanks Lightfoot.. Mine does measure 7/8"..It says Stith Bear Cub on the elevation knob. Nothing else. Could this be the 2.75X Bear Cub Delux ?.. Thanks.

The Deluxe is 2.5X
The Super is the 2.75X and 1.023" diameter

OK,, Got it..I wonder why there doesn't seem to be any power indications on it..or model as Delux, Super, etc..
