is it simply removing material for the release on the magazine to make a standard bdl stock fit a remington dbm barreled action

I've got a B&C stock here that was modified before I bought it, looks like the mag release cutouts were the only modifications done to the stock. I did have a machine shop in town machine the aluminum pillars to set the bottom metal in a little deeper as the magazine was setting a bit low after I bedded the rifle and got the bedding a tad thick under the front action ring.

Never understood why folks don't care for the DBM guns, mine's the most consistently accurate big game rifle I've ever owned and the detachable mag is very convenient. I loaned the rifle this evening to a friend to use on an upcoming elk hunt, hopefully it's as lucky for him as it was for me.

yes, so long as action length and all are the same. i take it you have a dm action. if not the "feed ramps" in a non dm action will need to be removed if youre going with remington factory parts.
